Mental health (Corona times, anti socializing etc.)

I don´t know abt you but my mental health could be a lot better and you're not alone with that especially this year.
I don´t blame anything for my feelings and emotions but there're things that are helpful for my mental health and things that aren't.
It's so important I guess to separate your feelings from outside circumstances which were also created and attracted a lot by yourself but anyways.
I don´t blame Corona for not feeling well. I don't blame that sum things are closed for not socializing. I don't blame my past or whatever.
Everyone has different needs which need to be fulfilled in order to live a happy and successful life.
Everyone has different prioritizations.
It can help to go to the gym. It can help to go outside doing some shopping w/friends or just drinking a cup of coffee in a restaurant.
It can help to travel, to go to amusement parks, festivals, concerts and all that.
But the real happiness and calmness comes from within. Outside influences are not that dramatic when you´ve learned to manage your mind.
We are humans and we have our basic needs. Mental needs are as important as physical needs like eating and drinking.
My personal mental need is Therapie, sun and gym but also being able to meet ppl and do stuff.
For me it's not that bad that I can't go outside to eat in a restaurant (cause it's too expensive tbh I don't wanna spend my money on that). But sth that I really miss is the gym.
I can be so thankful for having everything I need and for having the ability to live a kinda normal life rn. I don't complain! I'm so blessed for my current situation. Knowing this can be a huge motivator or you can beat yourself up for this but you have the choice.
I know a lot how I should handle things but in practice it's so different. I know my feelings are my responsibility, how I deal with my thoughts, what thoughts I believe and so on.
For becoming the woman I wanna be therapy has helped me a lot bcs I have the ability to talk abt where I really wanna be regardless of what someone else thinks.
"You are who you WANT TO BE not who you are RIGHT NOW"
is one of my fav quotes. So often we're influenced by opinions etc without even realizing it. Then we become this society shaped character.
But our deep desires and dreams that's who we are.
Not everyone has the courage to believe in themselves and to bring their dreams into reality.
I think when your mental state is fine everything in life will work out.
Your workouts, your relationships, your financial situation, your passion (call it job if ya want) all that starts in the mind.
If your mind is fkd up and you need to force stuff in order to work you actually waste so much potential.
I guess so many underestimate the power of the mind. We have the ability now to educate ourselves abt it. This is a chance to make us stronger not weaker.
You have choice Nr. 1 craving after lockdown or choice Nr. 2 to learn what we really need and to get healthy detached from events, materialistic stuff, social situations etc.
We know have the ability to focus on the important stuff like our best contacts, what we REALLY NEED, our desires, what we miss the most and most importantly practicing gratitude by taking nothing for granted anymore.
This is a special situation and we always have a chance on how to look at things. Maybe you have chemical inbalance like I do and sometimes your emotions and feelings just fuck you bcs of that. But they still have the right to be there and to be valued. It's your choice how to deal with it .

Everyone is so unique and has a different given gift deep inside them. It's art to find out what it is.
We can swallow in sadness and play victim or we can stand up value our thought, emotions and do sth great with them.
So sure maybe we can´t go to the gym rn or going out at night BUT that doesn't mean we can't use this time. I mean think abt it what an awesome opportunity this actually is.
We can stay at home. Make Netflix days and eat junk food. The other day we can just relax in our pjs, meditate do yoga or just enjoy the day by ourselves. We can use this time in a positive way but we cannot see it when we're blind by our thoughts and emotions.
This happens for me for example when I don't work out regular or get enough fresh air, the right food, calm hours ...
So even when I don't have ppl around me that work out as well this can make me actually stronger to just focus on me and still do my workouts even when I feel lonely af sometimes.
Another point that I've learned is that things are the way you describe them.
If you complain how bad everything is your life will probably be that way bcs you literally bring that into your reality.
So I guess the motivation sentence that we all want to hear is to make the best of it and enjoy this weird time somehow :) <3
