Let´s talk about jobs/ careers/passion and duties

I simply want to write about the dilemma we experience often and that no one actually is 100% sure about what they are doing and if things work out. We're all just trying our best and it makes no sense to put unrealistic standards on ourselves that doesn't serve our journey.

What do we do after school?

The first question that came into my mind when the degree was finished: "What now?". And I think we've all been there. You have this routine of getting up 5 days a week literally working for a couple hours not payed but after that you should have quality education that brings you further.

I don´t want to talk about the school system cause we all can relate there right..

And most importantly we're so blessed to even be allowed to have a "problem" like this.

We are so blessed to go to school, learn things we can use, gaining experience.

Going to school for free. I mean. HECK YEA.

But it's not a surprise that when we don't continue that path of school, university and work we're literally lost.

I know there're people who continue this path being lost too because they aren't even sure about what they are doing. But that's life I guess and I don't think we need to overthink what we're doing because at the end it doesn't matter. What matters if we had an amazing life or not. What we did, when is only part of the journey but not what matters to all of us.

When I was younger I thought that adults have figured out life.

ree

Some have their stuff together because they tried again and again without being 100% sure about what they are doing.

I think when the intention is pure and you enjoy the journey that everything is possible.

ree

We all have an idea of our own individual life and I think when we finish school we have the opportunity to create everything you want.

A school degree in my opinion is duty nothing to change about that. You need that piece of paper for some things and it's important to have basic knowledge (yah I know let's not talk about what we've learned) about certain things.

I couldn't even write this without being in school or without learning English.

But what comes after school is all an option.

You decide if you want to continue that path of society believes and there's nothing wrong with that.

This has sooo much benefits.

Structure, socializing, a plan, a vision, community and so much more.

ree

But there're also things you have to do alone in order to learn what's necessary for that way.

I don't think we need to sit in a room thinking about life and what we should do.

I think we should go out there experience and just enjoy life without hurting anyone.

Spreading love, positivity and kindness has always been a pure intention of mine no matter what I do, where I live or what my job/ career looks like.

What do we do when we have figure out our interests/ hobbies/passion etc?...

When we have figured out our personality the career and job things go hand in hand with that.

I highly recommend one of those personality tests they have helped me a lot :)

Every passion you can turn into a job and create a career with it.

ree

I think of it that way:

- A "just for the money" job is something that gives you money for things you want to do (for example a mini job or similar). You don't enjoy it 90% but you know the money will be worth it for what you've planed with it.

- A normal job is something you think isn't that bad you get good money with it, you can afford things but not your dreams but you live a solid good life with that.

- Career is what fulfills your life while earning money with doing the things you love. Having the ability to grow with it and improve yourself in the longterm.

Having the opportunity that there're no limits and you decide how far you want to come.

Career is your passion turning into a job without realizing that you do work.

For example cutting You-Tube videos doesn't feel like work for me.

Doing a workout with a group isn't work for me because I want to do that anyways.

When we find out what we love doing anyways we can create the perfect career plan with that.

But that's all just my point of view.

ree

Why are we obsessing about what we do?

The reason why I often don't want to talk about what I do is not because it's not fun or exciting but often people are obsessed with it and I know that sooo well from myself but this isn't about the work, university or job..

This is about personal things. Psychological and spiritual it has nothing to do with the work itself.

This is about the ego

When we identify ourselves with our jobs it isn't about the job but the meaning we give to it.

When we don't know how to create healthy self-worth (trust me still here creating lol) we project it on external stuff like job, how we look, the money on our bank accounts, the "friends" we have, the house, the living conditions etc...

Healthy self-worth means that we actually deeply believe that we're worthy of love, compassion and great things.

We don't need to project our whole identity on something external because spiritual wise these are things that were created in the mind first which didn't had any meaning until we have created one.

The cat in the box experiment by Schrödinger explains this very well.

ree

So if someone says "you're doing something wrong job wise"... fuck them if it makes you happy and you can afford the life you want :)

I was OBSESSED about going to university because otherwise I wouldn't have worth. Thinking about that makes me tear up because this is such huge bullshit I used to believe in and it still affects me.

I couldn't accept that the universe/ god (whatever you believe in) helps me to create even better for me.

My journey is not the right for everyone and neither was university for me.

We are all individuals and it wouldn't be intelligent saying we all do the same boring shit.

ree

I actually had bad mental issues cause I can't handle the fact that I though society expected me to be a slave of the system.

I wanted to create my own ideas, being self-employed, deciding when I want to work so when I wake up at 3am having an amazing idea I want to frkn work on that.

Not being scheduled by somethings humans made up.. time.. This is I think the least human thing ever to function after clock instead of energy reserve.

The reason why I was so confused and still am a little because I didn't know how to create this life.

This came after a time.

The more I reflected on myself, what I want, what I think society wants (actually no one cares haha but you still think about it cause it's human)..

Now I realize that most don't know what they're doing they just make the best of it.

And that's kind what I want to work with.

I want to create the life I want while earning money with doing what I love.

But being specific, making a plan for all that. That's when we need urgency.

I think too much urgency gives us burn outs. But when it comes to our dream life I think the reminder that we're not physically here always gives us a healthy push forwards.

ree

But "I can't leave my job I can't change."

Last thing what I want to talk about when it comes to job and careers is the work you're willing to put into for change.

We can all achieve what we want it's just about prioritization, believe systems, conviction, confidence, focus, concentration, a plan etc...

When we prioritize what we want we can do everything and I know this sounds like a motivational speaker like thanks for nothing but it's true.

Simple example.

I go to Starbucks 24/7. 1 Coffee 5 EUR (yeah proud of it)

Person B.

Saving 5 EUR every second day.

Invests it.

ree

I personally love the feeling of getting a coffee, walking through the city with a friends, making cute pics and feeling good.

Even thought for some this is expensive for me it's worth the price.

I know this sounds silly but it's so true.

A car is expensive. But for me it's worth the price I don't want to travel much by underground.

For example the other person loves Sport. Riding a bike spending 40 EUR a month designing it, freshening it up etc..

For me that's money I would save because I don't see the worth in it.

But for person B taking care of that bike hobby is necessary in order to work productively.

We all have different experiences and different conditions.

But when it comes to achieving goals it's always consistency, focus and joy.

ree

If you don't enjoy what you're doing mostly Person B doing that for passion will be more successful and this isn't a bad thing because we all have something we're passionate about even thought we might not know it yet.

We all have the ability to turn our passion into careers . But we need to make it a priority.

If you want to open an online shop. Do it. Make it a priority in your daily routine.

We´ve never had more opportunities than nowadays.

What helps me is when I think of that kid in Africa who literally build a windmill without anything and turned into a hero.

Of course when we compare ourselves to the best that people want to show (social media) we get depressed and demotivated because we only see the results and not the journey.

So when we remind ourselves that there're people starting with less achieving the same it can push us to keep going and keep trying.

We are all humans who create different "problems".

No one gots no problems. We alle have different packages and we feel the same emotions even though the circumstances may be different.

So when it comes to your job/career etc it´s important that it makes you feel good overall right. Of course we have those days. But overall it should be fun (I think)..

ree

The last point I want to mention is that rational thinking is important but we shouldn't forget our emotions.

Taking care of our emotions is necessary in order to think clearly again.

We as humans mostly do stuff because it makes us feel good.

When we do something because it sounds good or makes sense this may help sometimes but our emotional well being needs love.

So with careers it's necessary to look at both sides.

Some jobs need more emotional intelligence and some less and that's okay.

But every human needs both no matter how much of each part.

Do you really decorate your room in autumn cause it makes sense?

Of course not it makes you feel good that's why you do it.

Same with sport sometimes we do it because we "know" it's good for us.

But after a time we want to do it because it makes us feel good.

When we feel good, we attract better, we achieve things sooner and bigger, we have a better emotional well being and we're more productive.

At the end of this talk I want to clarify that we can be inspired by others, we can take advice but we always have to make the experience on our own in order to understand.

Albert Einstein already said:

Every fool can know but not everyone understands.

When it comes to life, career or whatever topic we "know" a hell lot. We know it would be productive going to the gym in the morning, eating well, getting movement, going out in nature, connecting to strangers, spreading love and kindness etc....

ree

Often we don't feel like it and that's when we talk about discipline and consistency.

We can only create discipline with conviction.

If you don't believe you can do something it's harder to achieve because you rely on others to believe in you first and that could take longer.

So whatever goal you have convince yourself that this is possible.

Every dream/goal can be turned into a realistic plan.

Unrealistic often means it's not possible in another persons reality or that it isn't the right path for you personally.

For me it's unrealistic to work 9-5 40 years and squeezing myself into something that makes me sick.

For others THIS IS IT. They have structure, security, connection and so much more.

Everyone has their individual expectations and vision when it comes to their life.

I try to always mention the "in my opinion" because no one "knows" better we all just have learned out of our experience.

ree

But overall I guess we can all agree that with consistency, passion, joy and pure intention every goal can be reached no matter how unrealistic it might seem first for you or others.

Without trying we don't know. We can predict but do we really want to lay on the death bed thinking about what we could have done?

Of course not we wan to say god damn I am so thankful I tried.

I tried again and again what works for me and overall I had a pretty good life dying without many regrets.

Sooooo that's it let me know on my insta or on this page via contact what you think about this whole topic.

Let me know about your interests what you're passionate about and what you would do if everything is possible.

See yaaa <333
